Burnout came for me after a long season of holding too much together for too long.

Burnout was the result of old childhood wounds being reactivated — traumas I thought I had already healed, reawakened by life’s curveballs. I had been a therapist and coach for over 15 years, yet even with all my tools, I missed the signs.

I stopped listening to myself.

I tried to "heal" the way I had always done — by thinking my way through it, by doing more, pushing harder, hoping I could work my way out. But healing doesn’t come from doing more. Healing came when I slowed down enough to actually hear what my body and soul had been whispering for years.

I didn’t need more productivity hacks.

I needed permission to rest.

I needed to stop managing symptoms and start tending to my system.

What burnout taught me — and what I now help my clients reclaim — is that true healing isn’t just mindset work. It’s nervous system care. It’s energy work. It’s soul work.

You can’t heal the mind, body, or soul in isolation — you have to support all three in a delicate, sacred dance. Some days you’ll feel strong. Other days you’ll be triggered and spiralling. But that doesn’t mean you’ve failed — it means you’re healing.
